In short

• TEMassist is a flight-simulation tool. It retrieves the flight plan you made in SimBrief and produces a practice pre-flight briefing for your simulator flight. It is for flight simulation and entertainment only.
• It is not an approved or authoritative source. Do not use it for real-world flight, navigation, dispatch, or any actual aviation decision. It is not a substitute for official briefing material.
• The briefing can be wrong — including stating a fact incorrectly, describing a threat that is not there, or missing one that is. Always verify independently. Never rely on it.
• You need a Navigraph/SimBrief account, because that is where your flight plan comes from. We are not connected with them.
• We don't ask who you are. You create your own account here: we generate an identifier, you choose a password. There is no email field and no name field — nothing to fill in, because we don't want either.
• It is free, open to anyone, and has no time limit. A fair-use limit applies — see Section 6. This is a personal project and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
• Your briefings are kept for 30 days, or until you delete them — there is a button. After that, a de-identified copy of the engine data is kept, carrying no link to your account. Section 5 lists exactly what goes and what stays.

1. What TEMassist is

TEMassist ("TEMassist", "we", "us") is a personal software project, free to use and open to anyone interested. It retrieves a flight plan you have generated yourself in SimBrief and returns a structured practice briefing for use in desktop flight-simulation software.

It is free of charge. There is no trial period, no expiry, and no paid version at present. If a paid version is ever offered, you will not be moved onto it without being asked.

This is pre-release software. It may be incomplete, may contain errors, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time without notice.

2. For simulation only — not for operational use

TEMassist is intended solely for flight-simulation and entertainment purposes.

You agree that you will not use TEMassist, or anything it produces, for:

• real-world flight, navigation, or air traffic purposes;
• flight planning, dispatch, or briefing for an actual flight;
• training, familiarisation, or instruction connected to a professional aviation occupation or a pilot licence; or
• any other real-world aviation decision of any kind.

TEMassist is not an approved, official, or authoritative aeronautical information source and is not a substitute for official flight documentation, approved briefing material, NOTAMs, meteorological services, or any source required by an aviation authority or operator. Official published sources always take precedence.

3. The briefing can be wrong

TEMassist assembles its briefing automatically from your flight plan and from the weather and NOTAM data that plan carries. This content can be inaccurate. It may, among other things, state a fact incorrectly, misread the weather, describe a threat that does not exist, or fail to identify one that does.

You must treat every part of the briefing as unverified and check it against reliable sources before placing any weight on it. Do not rely on TEMassist's output as correct. This applies to the whole briefing, including the parsed factual parts — weather, validity windows, airport data — which are provided as a convenience and offered without any guarantee of accuracy.

4. How we get your flight plan

You press a button and we retrieve your most recent SimBrief flight plan. You are sent to Navigraph to sign in and approve it, you come back, and we brief that plan. There is no file to upload.

• You need your own Navigraph account. SimBrief accounts are Navigraph accounts, and SimBrief is free. We do not create one for you.
• Nothing is stored to do this. We hold no access token and no refresh token, and nothing is kept in your session between retrievals. Each press is a fresh authorisation by you; that is why we ask every time.
• We only ever fetch your own most recent plan, and only when you ask for it. We never retrieve in bulk or in the background.
• ⚠ This is a dependency you take on. If you close your Navigraph account, or our access to SimBrief ends, TEMassist cannot retrieve plans for you. We are an independent project and have no control over that.

You are responsible for ensuring your use of SimBrief and Navigraph complies with their terms.

5. Privacy

We have designed TEMassist to require no personal data from you. Not as a courtesy — there is simply no field for it, and less held is less to lose.

What your account is. When you register we generate a random 20-character identifier and you choose a password. We store the identifier, a cryptographic hash of your password, and a hash of your one-time recovery code. We do not ask for, and have nowhere to put, your real name or your email address.

What we receive from Navigraph. When you link or sign in with Navigraph we receive a pseudonymous account identifier for you and store it, so we can recognise you next time and so that one Navigraph account holds one TEMassist account. We do not request, receive, or store your Navigraph email address, name, or password.

Your callsign. You may optionally set a display callsign shown on your briefings. It is free text and entirely your choice; it is not asked for and can be cleared at any time. A callsign, not your name.

Staying signed in. Signing in sets a session cookie in your browser so you don't have to re-enter your credentials. It carries only your pseudonymous account reference — no personal information.

Your flight plans and briefings are stored for 30 days, linked to your pseudonymous account, so you can revisit them. You can delete any briefing yourself at any time — it is a button on the briefing, not a request to us. After 30 days they are removed whether or not you ask. We also keep technical records of each briefing run (timestamps and processing status) for the same period. To have your account and everything still stored with it deleted, write to us at the address in Section 9.

What survives, and why it is no longer yours. When a briefing is removed we keep a de-identified copy of the engine data so the tool can be improved and tested against real cases. This is a field-level guarantee, not a general assurance:

• Removed: flight number, aircraft registration, crew information, callsign, your profile label, and the flight identifier.
• Kept: the weather, the NOTAMs, the airport data, the runway data, the route, the airport pair, and the aircraft type.
• The record carries no link to your account of any kind — no account identifier, no job identifier, no reference back.

⚠ Because that record identifies nobody, a deletion request cannot reach it. That is the honest counterpart to keeping it: what is kept is weather and aerodrome data, and there is nothing in it that could be traced to you or to your account. Our basis for keeping it under the GDPR is our legitimate interest in improving the software.

Where your data is processed. Your flight plan is analysed, and everything we store is held, on our own servers in the European Economic Area. It is not sent to any third-party AI provider — no part of your briefing is generated by a language model.

The provider in front of us. To deliver pages, and to absorb attacks before they reach our servers, traffic between you and us passes through Cloudflare, a content-delivery and security provider. Cloudflare decrypts that traffic in transit at whichever of its locations is nearest you, which may be outside the European Economic Area. It handles it only on our instructions, under a data-processing agreement, and never uses it for its own purposes. Nothing we hold moves: the analysis, and everything stored, stay on our own servers in the EEA.

Usage limits. Accounts carry a fair-use limit (Section 6). We keep the minimal per-account records needed to apply it.

Feedback and security reports. If you use a form we offer — feedback, or a report of a security problem — anything you write, including any contact details you volunteer, is stored with it and used only to improve TEMassist and, if you offered contact details, to follow up with you. Volunteering contact details is entirely optional, and a security report may be sent anonymously.

Server logs. Like any web service, our server — and the delivery provider in front of it — briefly handles network information (including IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect against abuse (for example, limiting repeated failed sign-ins). Such logs are routine, short-lived, and not used to identify you.

No selling or sharing. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, except where required by law. Our hosting and delivery providers handle it on our behalf so the service can run; they are not permitted to use it for anything else.

6. Your account, and fair use

You create your own account. You sign in with Navigraph once to prove the account is yours, then choose a password. We give you a generated identifier to sign in with and a one-time recovery code. An account is intended for one person.

⛔ Keep your identifier and your recovery code. Because we hold nothing that could identify you, we cannot verify who you are if you lose access. While your Navigraph account is linked you can always get back in through it. If you close your Navigraph account and also lose both your password and your recovery code, the account cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. That is the price of never being asked who you are.

Fair use: 30 briefings per rolling 24 hours. This exists to prevent misuse, not to ration you — it is far above ordinary use. Every briefing includes every feature; there is no reduced version. We may change this figure; the current one is always the one printed here.

We may suspend, change, or end the service — or any individual account — at any time and for any reason, without notice and without liability. Nothing here gives you a right to any later version of TEMassist, free or paid, or to any particular price.

7. "As is", no warranty, limited liability

TEMassist is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, reliability, or uninterrupted availability.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TEMassist and the person operating it accept no liability for any loss or damage of any kind arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, TEMassist or anything it produces — including any decision made or action taken in reliance on its output. The service is free of charge; no fee has been paid and none is owed.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory applicable law, and nothing here affects mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the current version and its effective date appear at the top. If the terms change, you will be asked to accept the updated version before continuing.
